I've got what I think is a very good idea that may be of great help those of us who participate, so please read on...

Here at my Long Island Moving Company I screen most of the inbound telephone service inquiries...these are the telephone call-ins that are not existing national accounts. These call-ins range from cod/private transfer inquiries...warehouse storage inquires...office & industrial moving inquiries...to machinery moving inquiries. I ask every person who calls in how they came to call our company, and the overwhelming response is "I found your website on the internet." In fact, just the other day, I asked a fellow inquiring about a very nice office move and here is what he said...

"I found you in the Yellow Pages...I just did a Google search and you came up."

I found this to be a very telling statement as this gentleman had confused the Yellow Pages with Google search; he had in fact performed a Google search to find a mover but he was confusing his action with looking in the Yellow Pages. Further to the point, when I or my wife (she's 50 and I'm 54 years old) need to locate a local service we search on the internet...we don't even have a Yellow Page book in our home any more. This inclination to utilize the internet to search for goods and services will only grow as time passes and the younger generation acquires purchasing power. In other words, the ability to have your company come up in the user's web search results is powerful now...but the value and power of this result will grow exponentially in the coming years.

Indeed, my moving company has given up on Yellow Page advertising...with the exception of a small trademark listing in each book we have completely pulled out of all of the Yellow Pages in our market.

Being a tech geek, and having a thorough grasp of web technology I am determined to optimize my company's website in order to have it rank as high as possible when internet users search for Long Island or Orlando movers. Such technique is called "Search Engine Optimization" (aka "SEO") and I've got a lot to learn...and a lot of work to do...because I've apparently made a lot of past mistakes when building and designing my company web pages.

Now to the point. We can help each other's websites place high in web search results by employing a very simple, but very powerful, technique at no cost to those who choose to participate. That's right...no cost...none...zero...nada...zip. No bull. However, I'm not going to divulge this method here, rather, participation will be by invitation only.
