Wow.   ReloRow is an incredible source of knowledgable info from
industry insiders.

Unfortunately, I have been scammed by an internet mover on a
move from Seattle to Atlanta. Quote was for $3,700 and the bill is
for over $10,000. They claim I shipped 20K pounds. Grabel did my
move from ATL to Seattle and provided documentation. The total
weight was far less than 20K pounds. The mover has my goods and
is insisting that I send them $9,000 before they allow me to pick up
my household goods (not even offering to deliver any more) from a
local storage facility. I will spare the details of the scam and horrible
customer service.

Question: What can I do to get them to settle this issue and let me
have my stuff? I suggested I hire a "local" mover to load the goods
and provide an ACCURATE weight THEN pay the mover 80% of the
price per pound since they will not be doing the delivery and set up.

Unscrupulous movers give the industry of hard working people such
a bad name. This mover knows all the rules and exactly what he
can get away with. Not having our household goods for going on (3)
weeks is tremendous hardship and expense for my family. Does
anyone have any advice? Who else can I complain to? How does
arbitration work?

Thanks,

Gil

Yes unscruplous movers give us a bad name, but it is the consumer buying into that low price and not using their common sense to know when it sounds to good to be true it usually is, that keeps these type of people in business.

Now contact moverescue.com. if that is not the correct website I'm sure someone on here will provide the correct one or go to movingscam.com.

Good luck in getting your goods back, but you will most likely end up paying these people what they are demanding. next time you move be a little wiser, be more cautious, do your home work on who you allow to come into your home and take everything you own.
